Sherwood & Zomorodi presented an informative article describing the responsibility nurses have of promoting safe and effective healthcare practices. Nurses are one of the most important parts of a patient’s overall care and well-being. By following the six nursing competencies set by the Quality Safety and Education for Nurses (QSEN) project, the authors described how nurses are responsible for leading the way in improving healthcare quality and safety. Using objective language, Sherwood and Zomorodi effectively reached their intended audience—nurses.
