Sir Isaac Newton was born on January 4, 1643 in Woolsthorpe, Lincolnshire, England. He was the only child of his parents, Isaac Newton and Hannah Ayscough Newton. His father, Isaac Newton died three months before he was born and Sir Isaac Newton was then born premature. He was not expected to live very long, but he surprised many people and did. When Sir Isaac Newton was three years old, his mother married Barnabas Smith, who was a well-known-minister. When his mom got married she moved away with her new husband, which left him to live with his grandmother.
