Thus Antigone and Ismene were similar in their loyalty, which both of the sisters lays with the family, they differed in how a woman “should” act in that city of Thebes, Antigone let her voice be heard, while Ismene hid behind the words of men, and Ismene was more rational, rather than irrational as Antigone. Looking at both points of view gives the audience a better understanding to why the sisters did what they decided to, and why they acted in such w away that others may not understand. There is no sister stronger than the other, that is the particularly the case here, it more about where their beliefs, views and pride led them at the end.
