Until Harry comes into her life, she soon is filled with joy and romance. As they begin to be around each other daily and rehearse, she becomes very attracted to Harry. Harry is very shy and doesn’t necessarily understand what love is until Helene pulls him in and shows him. As they begin to spend all of their time together, Harry actually falls for her. In the movie “Forest Gump”, he starts off being a little boy with many problems and his speech and legs are the two biggest of his many problems. Forest had a speech problem and could not talk right and also couldn’t walk right, so therefore he was picked on daily by many kids at his school and on the way home from school. Until he met Jenny, Forest became happy and finally had someone to talk to and be friends with outside of school. Forest was of the shy type just like Harry in the other film, but Forest truly loved Jenny, but she didn’t see it, just like Harry didn’t see that Helene didn’t love him in the play. Both the film and the movie show examples of how the main characters are trying to find out what their true identity really is. Helene in the film and Forest in the movie eventually become things they never would have thought of becoming. In the film, Harry and Helene don’t start with a very good persona, but as the play moves on they generate an electrifying and loving side to them. In the movie, Forest loves Jenny from the moment he laid eyes on her, but she doesn’t realize this until the end where it’s almost too late.
