The first similarity is that people in both Fahrenheit society and our society are addicts of electronic products. People in the Fahrenheit society are big fans of the wall TVs. They go to sleep with the earbuds in their ears. Unfortunately, the situation in our society is absolutely worse. Except for much more diversified TV shows and earbuds, we have smartphones, computers, game consoles and so on. The people in Fahrenheit society spend time with electronic products in spare time. But look at people in the Unites States. Students play with their iPhones during classes. Commuters keep their eye on the phone and fill their ears with earbuds. People in Fahrenheit society barely think and doubt the information they received from the government. You may feel lucky because the federal government still has not controlled the media in the United States. However, there are only two major parties in the United States, and real government secrets are never accessible to media. Same as the fireman in Fahrenheit society, the policeman, who are the reprehensive characters of government, can do a lot of things with their power. Furthermore, People in Fahrenheit society depend on some superficial reasons to elect their presidents. I don’t think we are smarter than them because if we were, the campaign teams don’t spend so much time and money to take care and design the appearance of the president
