The Crucible is a 1952 play by Arthur Miller. About the events surrounding the 1692 witch trials of Salem. Miller shows people accusing each other falsely to save themselves from the high court of Salem. To him, only those who refused to help even to the point of death hold onto their honour and sense to die as a martyr. In this essay, I will be focusing on the differences about Elizabeth Proctor and Abigail Williams.
One of the similarities between these two women, is their romantic interest in John Proctor; he is legally married to Elizabeth Proctor, but Abigail Williams is an obsession for him. This situation constitute a great deal of tension and anger between these two women. As if this is not a serious enough situation for the two women
