Cats and dogs not only need the necessary, food and water, but they also need nurturing and fitness. Cats need a litter box, unless your cat is an outside cat. They should have some toys, to make sure the cat stays fit, a scratching post to keep their claws sharp, and a brush, although if your cat is not long haired there really is no reason to have a brush, this is the same for dogs. Dogs requires more than a cat, they require the obvious water and food bowl, like cats do, toys to play tug-o-war. They need to stay fit, so they need a leash and collar, for taking them for walks twice a day, everyday. Cats and dogs portion sizes for food varies dependent on size and age, both dog and cat food come in wet and dry forms. Adult cats need to have more calories in their food rather than an adult dog. Not every owner goes and buys food for their cat or dog, so the animal must fend for itself and hunt for their food. Cats normally do not really care to work for their meal. Now, dogs on the other hand, they take more opportunities to catch their prey, they also make sure their territory is marked, without crossing a cat’s boundaries. Dogs are more dependent on their owners than cats, cats do not care if you are away for a week at most, but dogs will, they will feel left out and sad. Dogs are pretty social animals, but cats like to be alone unless it is mating season or when they have their young. Dog and cats alike can feed themselves, but they require attention.
