Abstract
The human body is full of mystery and wonder that we still struggle to understand. There are differences in men and women that are obvious and others that may never be fully understood. When it comes to the sexual arousal cycle there is a lot of similarities between the sexes. There are a few differences based on the physical differences. I am trying to identify both the similarities and the differences based on the theory put forth by Masters and Johnson.

In 1966 Masters and Johnson released their theory of the human sexual response cycle. It is important to note that there are some problems with their theory. One problem …show more content…
While this does not completely invalidate the study, it does cast some doubt that everyone would react the same way. How we interact with the world and each other is impacted by our culture, upbringing, religion and even our geographical origins. Without taking all of this into consideration there is no way to be sure that everyone will react the same way or that each phase will be achieved. Let’s face it, in cultures where females are circumcised it is doubtful they will achieve the orgasm phase. Men and women are different and individuals are different and people experience the same even differently, we should leave it up to the individual to determine if they are responding normally for their
