No work is completely risk free and all health care professionals should have some basic knowledge about work force populations, work and related hazards and methods to control hazards and improve health (Susila, 2015). Just as one can derive a lot of benefits from work, the condition under which people work also influences their health. Occupational health Nursing is carried out for the identification of hazardous exposures and other conditions of work, identification of exposed workers and assessment of the levels of exposures for various group of workers. Such surveillance must include the assessment of ergonomic factors which might affect workers health; condition of occupational hygiene and factors such as physical, chemical, biological exposures which may generate risks to the health of workers; exposure of workers to adverse psychological factors and aspects of work organization; risk of occupational accidents and major hazards; collective and personal protective equipment and control systemic designed to eliminate, prevent or reduce exposure. According to Olise, (2007) occupational health nursing must be based on principles of recognition, prevention and treatment of illness, injuries. Wikipedia, (2015) defined occupational health nursing as a specialty nursing practice that provides for and delivers health and safety programs and services to workers, workers populations and community groups. The practice focuses on promotion, maintenance and restoration of health, prevention of illness and injury and protection from work-related and environmental hazards. Occupational health nurses aim to combine knowledge of health and business to balance safe and healthful work environments and a “healthy” bottom
