Case Analysis
My case analysis is about Raymond “Shrimp Boy” Chow. He is known for his racketeering (doing illegal business) charges. The two newspaper articles I researched were from “The New York Times” and “The San Jose Mercury News”. My two newspaper articles explain who he is and the latest news on his trial. I am going to compare the articles and see how he’s portrayed. The first article is called, “Who is “Shrimp Boy” Chow?” and it’s from the San Jose Mercury News by Howard Mintz. In this article, Mintz gives us some basic facts on the “Asian organized crime figure”. He was born in Hong Kong and real name is Kwok Cheung Chow. Title of each article Each title of the articles are informing and questioning. From the first article, “Who is “Shrimp Boy” Chow? Is just saying who is he and why is he important? The second article, “The Latest: Defendant to testify in racketeering case” is just explaining recently that he (Chow) is going to testify in his own case since there is no evidence on him.
