Does the citizens of China get the freedom to voice out their opinion? As of right now, Chinas has a Communist and the People's Liberation Army. Having a Communist government China is very strict onto using the media. Some specific sites are prohibited, one of the popular ones being Google. Chinese being a communist country, they do not have the ability like Americans have to fully vote for their leaders. Furthermore, they do not have the freedom to voice their opinion meaning, whether they like the leader or not they have to choice but to follow. The Chinese government should give their citizens the power and will to choose and vote because they don't get their full rights in the government. At the local level, China has done some experimentation with real elections but at the national elections. The citizens of China has a limitation for their rights because for example, the Party picks the candidates for the People's Congress which meets for very short sessions, elects the government, and then adjourns to let the government run. Infoplease.com stated, "They do have elections, but above the level of village councils, only members of the Communist Party of China are allowed to stand for election." This statement proves even though Chinese citizens can vote, only members of the Communist Party of China are allowed to stand which proves that it is totally pointless to let the citizens vote.
