Many students don’t think they did well on the first test because they were worried about all of the other millions of tests they have to complete that week. According to research students do not do as well on the first test because of one reason: they are overwhelmed. The teachers say “The test isn’t counted as a grade.” but maybe there is a child in the room that is going through a time in their life where they are saying “WHY?” , maybe their parents are getting a divorce or their great grammy that was ninety-five just passed. They do not like what is happening, but on top of that they have to take a gigantic test that doesn’t even count toward their grade!!!! Overall, too much stress is put on the children. Teacher are so worried about the scores because it effects their job and opportunities. Plus, there is always that teacher that rushes through review, so when he turns around he is swallowed by faces that say “WHAT”.
