The mayor thought to himself. But the mayor quickly pushed his thoughts aside and introduced himself, “Pleased to meet you. My name is Mr. Keen, or you can call me Mr. Mayor if you’d like. You will be helping me, along with my other officials, file and edit papers. It will be fun!”
John sat down, and proceeded to work. After he mistakenly crossed a word out, he tore the paper in half. This caught everyone’s attention. Everyone in the room dropped their pens in disbelief. The mayor stared at John for a moment before going back to his own work. After John messed up again, he crumbled a few more pieces of paper loudly, which made everyone in the room lose focus.

In the nighttime, John came to the dinner party dressed with a suit and tie. He made sure he came early too. The mayor gave John a look of approval. John sat down at the wide dining table with a lot of other people. The food was already ready, but was covered by a dish dome. The mayor proceeded to make an opening speech. However, before the mayor could even finish his speech, John started pouring food into his plate, and started munching his way through. Everyone started to stare at him. John wildly took a chicken drumstick and started chewing. It was a mess. The mayor was embarrassed and forcefully shouted,
“PLEASE DO NOT EAT UNTIL I HAVE FINISHED MY OPENING SPEECH! SHOW YOUR MANNERS, JOHN! WHAT’S WRONG WITH YOU TONIGHT?”
John’s face became hot and red, and he just realized what he’d done.
“Excuse me for a moment.” he said swiftly.
John got up from the table, and dashed to the exit. John walked outside to the streets, with the cool night wind breezing through his hair. John had made himself look like a clown in the dinner party. No one would forget what had
