The object seem made of metal and wrapped with tape, which seems to be a homemade bomb, just like the one put in Mr. Kinghad’s school. As mentioned by Hanson (2009), the administrator “immediately assumed that it was another homemade explosive device similar to the one at Rick’s school”. As mentioned On the New Brunswick Public School District (NBPS) under the “Procedures to be used after a Bomb Threat is Received… The Principal will immediately call: the Police Department/local law enforcement; the Fire Department; and the Superintendent’s office”. As an interim principal I need to follow the district’s guidelines, protocol and expectations in order to meet the objective, which is the safety and secure of all members by evacuating the school immediately. As required by the NBPS, I will communicate via the walkie talky, follow the evacuation protocol while maintaining communication with the superintendent and central office, due to the fact that school buses need to be redirected as well as parents, teachers and guardians need to be informed of the …show more content…
As stated by Standard 3, “educational leader who promotes the success of all students by ensuring management of the organization, operations, without hesitation by understanding and following the protocol related to the school safety and security”.
