Press down on every corner of your vehicle hard. If you notice the car bouncing when you remove the pressure, you will want to replace your shocks. Attempting this with a higher-riding vehicle such as pickups and SUVs will require more strength because it is harder to find leverage. Our auto repair shop in Toledo OH can assist with testing your shocks and replacing them if you need new ones. Mechanics may also test your shocks while having your tires rotated on the lift. Mechanics will spot major leaks—shocks have fluid inside them—and they will look for dents, worn bushings and worn mounts.

The General Rule—Not Golden

In general, the people selling replacements will often recommend switching them every 50,000 miles. However, this rule of thumb is not set in stone, and it varies based on the vehicle and places driven. People who drive on gravel roads add more stress to the shocks and will mean more frequent replacement. Also, if you carry heavy loads regularly, this can wear out the shocks faster. As you can see, it varies based on a multiple factors.

Looking for a great place to hire a qualified mechanic? At our shop in Toledo OH, we can replace your shock absorbers for a low price that does not skimp on quality. You want an auto repair shop that takes pride in their work because they will go the extra mile for you. They say you should choose your mechanic like you choose your doctor, and we fully endorse this

During the Middle Ages, many weapons were created to help in the winning of battles and unlike today's firearms, they had small weapons such as bows and swords. But as the castle walls became higher and stronger, a new weapon had to be invented to destroy them. This was 399 BC when a Greek historian named, Diodorus Siculus, was the first to document the use of a mechanical arrow firing catapult. The first catapults that were ever built were made in the early attempts to increase the range and power of a crossbow. Now there were various types of catapults that had been used by the Greeks, Romans, and Chinese soon after.…
