The Doctrine of Special Revelation A cosmonaut returned to earth, the question put forth was did he see God up in space or as the book said the heavens. However, do you know went to the heavens and came back to tell everyone about? One theologian says God is dead presently him speaking for the secular world that believes they no longer need God. Can you imagine the world feeling like they can answer and solve their problems on their own? Kar Marx said religion was an opiate for the people. He believed God was an excuse for the rich, comfortable, and powerful to maintain a status quo. Christians believe in a Holy Trinity father, son, holy spirit. Clearly seen when Jesus stated I am the truth and the life. To point out two meanings of revelation. One is based on Gods will, the other theology. God, lets you have an experience with Him and having a personal relationship without delay. Believing in God help you experience His loving actions (Guthrie, Shirley Caperton 55).
The author Shirley Guthrie speaks of how some say I know nothing of Christ, he never spoke to me, I have never heard the voice of God. They might say he has not done anything for them in life. I prayed and ask for a particular thing and it never happened. Why will he not talk to me? Is there a God, am I a real Christian. How shall I get God to reveal a revelation to me? Do the church care about its members or act as if life is cheap and unimportant? Churches do certain tradition acts not caring about one another. Some churches act like they serve self, not true churches are to proclaim the Word of God at all times. The church must confess they do not have all the answers, but God does and He is the only one that can fulfill the needs of the people (Guthrie, Shirley Caperton 64-65).
God is the Creator and ruler of this world and all people. His Word says the earth is the Lord and the fullness thereof, and all that dwell in it. So who can stand and be bigger than life but God? The giver of life and death in all situations. God knows all and God loves us all. God is at work when no one recognizes what is going on. Often, He set us up to be healed, delivered, and set free (Guthrie, Shirley Caperton 66-67).
The greatest thing about God is that He has no special respect of persons, actually God blesses whom He wants when he wants. However, certainly, you do not suppose to live your life in a fashion not pleasing to Christ. The question was asked who is God and do you know Him.
