The Sherwin-Williams Company is the leader in technological innovations within the paint and coatings industry. Its three technical centers, the Breen Technology Center, located in Cleveland, Ohio, the Automotive and Diversified Brands Campus, located in Warrensville Heights, Ohio, and the Arthur W. Steudel Technical Center, located in Chicago, Illinois, are where the company’s new products and innovations in research and development, begin. The Breen Technology Center (BTC), develops innovative processes and products for Sherwin-Williams' architectural brands which include Sherwin Williams, Dutch Boy, Pratt & Lambert, and Martin Senour, and others. Steudel Technical Center houses the R&D technical organizations of Product Finishes and Protective and Marine as well as the Product Finishes Design Engineering Group. Sherwin-Williams Product Finishes division’s work impacts many different market places. Their team of technicians, chemists and scientists are committed to developing innovative products that are used in the heavy equipment, metal and wood furniture, metal building products, and electronics industries. They even work with the U.S. Military. Additionally, Product Finishes has a design-engineering group that works in conjunction with the technical staff, the sales organization and Sherwin-Williams’ customers. The Protective and Marine division’s team of engineers, chemists and technicians are involved in the exciting work of new product development, product line maintenance and improvement, coatings research and testing, color development and process engineering.
