One real-life version, and one virtual. The virtual life tends to be exaggerated. Online, my day was full of adventure and productiveness. However, in real life, I stayed home and scrolled through Twitter all day. Technology allows me to come off as a completely different person. For example, social media stars portray a false narrative about their life. In 2014, news came out that Robin Williams had passed. He had commit suicide and it shocked millions of people. Looking back on his life, you would think that he was a happy, life loving man. However that’s how he was portrayed through media. Its like talking to a wall. It is as if there are there, but not there. As technology connects us more into virtual worlds, the more they become disconnected to the real world. I agree with Sherry Turkle that technology connects, and disconnects us. With virtual interactions, we are losing the skills needed to interact in real life. I believe that the more we rely on technology, the less we rely on real life. This can be harmful for us in the long-run. Because there are no emotions attached to virtual interactions, they will never be the same as an actual face to face
