The School for Scandal is a play written by Richard Sheridan. It was first performed in London at Drury Lane Theatre. The play starts with Lady Sneerwell who is a wealthy young widow in her London home. Snake is a man who does a dirty work for Lady Sneerwell that is spread rumors about life persons. He tells her on the status of a rumor he is showing about Lady Brittle and Captain Boastall, the rumor will reach Mrs. Clackit, a formidable scandal monger who has caused numerous breakups and divorces. Then, Snake knows of Lady Sneerwell that she loves Charles, so she wishes to break up the amorous relationship between Charles and Maria. His servant Rowley enters, and Sir Peter moans to Rowley about his wife, and he sees Charles bad foul and morality. Rowley defends Charles who will eventually reform. After Sir Oliver arrives in London, he visits his old friend, Sir Peter. When they discuss Sir Oliver's nephews, Sir Peter notes that people speak very well of Joseph, but there is not one speak good words of Charles. However, Sir Oliver wants to learn the truth about his nephews, so he will go undercover and speak to Charles and Joseph separately. A First step Sir Oliver he will disguise himself as a money lender and his name is Mr. Premium. Later this, he will assume the identity of a real person is Mr. Stanley who a Dublin relative of Charles and Joseph, and they have never seen him. Stanley has written each of them a letter requesting financial assistance. So far, Joseph has no provided anything, but Charles has done all of his power to help him. Sir Oliver visits Charles at the house of Charles's late father. Mr. Premium with a Jewish money lender is Moses whom Sir Oliver has hired him. Charles is drinking and singing with friends. Charles finds Sir Peter and says to him all thing among Joseph and Lady Teazle was a joke. Joseph goes out to see another visitor in downstairs. Sir Peter informs Charles around a little French milliner hides behind the curtain to conceal her identity and safeguard her reputation. Joseph comes again when Charles pulls the curtain. Sir Peter is shocked after he sees his wife. Joseph fabricates a story to explain why she is here, but Lady Teazle is laying his words. She comes to Joseph to listen to his pretended passion for her. She also has a new respect for her husband now. After these events, Sir Peter is declaring which Joseph a villain and leaves. Now Joseph is alone. In a short while later the service announces that Mr. Stanley who Sir Oliver pretending to be Stanley. When Stanley requests financial assistance, Joseph is unable to provide it. Joseph claims on what Sir Oliver has done for him has been nothing. In truth, Sir Oliver had previously given him 12,000 pounds. Sir Oliver leaves. A later, Rowley calls upon Joseph with a letter that Sir Oliver has returned to London. While that, Mrs. Candour calls at Sir Peter's home to see Lady Teazle, but Mrs. Teazle is not seeing
