“No! No! No!Nooooooooooo!!!!” Splash!Gurgerlerg!! That was the heroic sound I made while conquering my fear.
Laying on the worn down leather couch, I wrapped myself up in blankets. It was around 7:30 p.m. and I was ready to have FAMILY MOVIE NIGHT. It was my Dad’s turn to choose the movie.
“We’re going to watch JAWS after we watch an episode of Shark Week” My dad said in his Dad way. Being 8 at the time I had no idea what JAWS was, but I knew it was an old movie since my Dad got to see it as a kid. My Mom grabbed the black remote and turned on the tv. We watched as the tv went from a dreary-black to a bloody toothed, opened mouth, flesh hanging from its jaw, Great White Shark jumping out of the water. I screamed since the shark looked like it was

I hid under the covers until my sister came from the kitchen with a bowl of popcorn. We all jumped out off of the couches and hurdled around Harmony like she was a football coach and we were the players. I of course was the first one to get popcorn since I was the smallest. After the episode of Shark Week, we started to surf the channels until we found JAWS. By this time it was 8 p.m. I was tired and I was ready to go to the lake. Dozing off, I woke to the sound of a blood curdling scream, and a person being eaten by a shark. I could not fall back asleep until the movie was over, it was 10:10 pm, way past my bedtime. I don’t remember when I fell back asleep but I remember being rushed out of the house and burning some rubber. We were off to the lake. After a half-hour drive, we were at the lake we were scoping out for my Grandma.We found her right away in her fluorescent pink stand-up jet-ski and her matching life-jacket.
