To me, this story was the most distinct knowing it did not involve whites, just the Jewish people themselves. A paper factory owned by a Jewish man named Leo Frank had a staff of all Jewish women. It was shocking to me that they were only paid a dollar and 50 cents a week. But one day, when a girl by the name of Mary Phagan, came into work on a Friday to pick up her paycheck she was beaten to death by the owner. I'm am not sure why he did what he did and if he did anything to the rest of his staff. But for months/years there were cases about what they were going to do to him and how to proceed. He was then lynched. The shocking part was that people were ripping off parts of his clothes to keep remembering what a horrible man he was. What was also eerie to me was that young girls had come up with a song about it that went "Little Mary Phagan went to work one day, little did she know the Jew would take her life away." and danced around chanting it.
One similarity between most of these stories was that most of it was caused by the white people. There were never any cases or stories of any two different cultures that had to do with racism. Racism is still alive today, it is just not as severe, it still occurs in everyday
