They both have a large number of majors for me to choose from. I have already been accepted to both schools. At both schools the average student to faculty ratio is 17:1. Michigan State is 105 years older than GVSU and it shows, MSU has much more character with its ivy covered halls. Grand Valley is also approximately four times smaller in acreage than MSU, and its undergraduate enrollment is about half that of Michigan State. Michigan State is by far the more expensive of the two school by roughly 5,700 a year. Allendale maybe just a little too close to home for my liking a 24 minute drive is not enough to deter me from coming home when I become home sick, at an hour and fifteen minutes away Michigan State is a better distance for me I think. Both have very good sports teams, however, I think I would prefer to be in a big 10 student section then being in a division two student section. I do have the potential to be in a living and learning community on either campus which is something I look forward to. I have been on both campuses and feel confident that I could call either campus my home for the next four years and
