The purpose of this test was to calculate the input and output of semantic memory of the patients. The assessment contained up to 48 items, including categories of animals and man-made items (Hodges et al., 1992). The five patients’ that suffered from fluent dysphasia each took assessments, and it was found that sorting pictures, object naming, picture pointing and fluency was impaired for all of the patients. The goal of this assessment was to distinguish between the different brain diseases. The clinical standard tests that were administered were radiological function imaging tests such as, computerized tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), positron emission tomography (PET) and single positron emission tomography (SPECT). Other tests that the patients participated in were semantic memory tests and neuropsychological tests. The five individuals that were evaluated, included four women and one man between the ages of 42 and 68 years
