Self driving cars will most likely have an adverse effect on automobile businesses in densely populated cities. Many places rely heavily on driving jobs such as taxis, uber, lyft, and other transportations. If self driving cars were to be implemented people would not need to pay for taxis, they will have their car drop them off then send it back home. Car transportation jobs would be useless. My dad’s friend was a truck driver and it was one of the few jobs that he was capable of doing since his english speaking skills were very poor and he only had a high school diploma. He once stated that he had an opportunity to get a higher education but he did not want to be in debt.
