Our Lady of the Lake College is a Catholic institution that was created in honor of St. Francis of Assisi, who firmly believed that all of creation spoke volumes of God’s love for us. St. Francis was raised in a fairly wealthy family, and it was not until he was captured at battle for two years, that he decided to embark on the glorious journey of knowing Jesus Christ. He began preaching to word of God, and embraced others that were not of his kind. I am not sure of her exact organization pattern for the speech, but she used the class topic and focused on Pope Francis’ environmental plan. Her organization of her presentation aid and speech were easy to follow, and helped increase the persuasion on how Pope Francis’ plan could be helpful to the world.…

The distinction between devotedness and those living a wild life is often a predicate of one's personal experiences and the nature of social interactions that one sustains. Time and again, living a life full of faith demands much devotion and dedication, something that is much deeper than simple conformity to religious anticipations (Sisters of Charity of Cincinnati 1). One’s psychological preparedness is often crucial to assist in weathering the social, economic, and political impediments that could drive one out of it.…

While the sources and norms serve as the primary ways to achieve and know friendship with God there are different aids that are available to help one pursue one’s proper ends. The aids are broken into external and internal. There are also obstacles that stand in the way or interrupt one’s pursuit of the good; these are called vices. With the help of the external and internal aids, along with the pursuit of virtue one can overcome vice and reach one’s proper end.…

Compassion is defined as “a feeling of deep sympathy and sorrow for another who is stricken by misfortune, accompanied by a strong desire to alleviate the suffering” (Dictonary.com).…
