Second Game Narrative

Improved Essays
Our team had just finished the second game of the day in Cooperstown NY. We had already lost a game and we had to win the next game to move on. I was pitching this next game. I was prepared and then went to warm up. “10 minutes to game time!” the umpire yelled. We were the visitors team which meant we hit first. Everybody on my team was ready to play when the game finally started. The top of our line up went up to bat. We scored two runs in the first inning and then it was time for me to start the game. I went out and the first batter grounded out. Then the second batter got a base hit. The third batter walked up to the plate. He was tall and skinny. I through a pitch down the middle knowing I messed up and he hit a homerun to tie

During that very special baseball game I was beasting at shortstop. Every time a ball was hit my way I would either catch it or scoop it up off the ground depending on what type of hit it was but if the ball came my way my fans already knew what was going to happen. My fans already knew that I was going to get the batter out or get a double play and most of the time I did. It felt so great knowing that I helped my team achieve excellence and earn victories. My team had a very strong and unstoppable defense and if it wasn't for our teamwork, we wouldn't have had such a successful season.…

One night in the Spring of 2013, I was playing little league baseball in Pinetops, NC. The game was close and it was against our archrivals, the Yankees. My team, the Red Sox, were the best team in the league, and we were determined that we weren’t going to lose to our rivals in one of the biggest games of the year. It was a tied ball game, and one of the players on the Yankees named Levi came up to bat. Levi was a tall, strong, extremely cocky, but I will say, he is a really good baseball player.…

The first pitch I got was roped over the fence. I knew the ball was never coming back. That homerun was the first I had ever hit in a game. After my first at bat, I was riding my high horse thinking I was going to get another hit and make my dad proud all over again.
