Scott County Clinic Case Study

The last couple of weeks had been very long and drawn out for my family and I. Although we were a very withstanding family and looked healthy, however many problems lay under the surface that made this an untrue statement. However, my brother, Tarryn, had been sick with severe stomach pain for quite some time now. The doctors at Scott County Clinic were baffled as they had no diagnosis for his symptoms. We were also baffled as a family, but we finally decided to seek doctors with a great sophistication, would hopefully provide us more details as to Tarryn’s condition. On the morning of November 21, 2002 Tarryn was trying to cope with his condition. After watching his struggles, my mom, Kandi, finally decided to take him to a pediatric facility in Garden City, Kansas. Once they reached the Garden City Medical Clinic they were assigned to Doctor Julie Freeman, a specialist in pediatrics. Doctor Freeman preformed her initial exam and thought that it he may have an ulcer. Her main reasons that principal diagnostic symptom, his pain would intensify after eating. Not exactly knowing what to expect, my mother stood there and received the gut wrenching news that her baby, who was only seven years old, had a grave type of cancer.
