Imagine waking up every morning knowing that you don’t have to worry about your grades, getting your exercise, or finding friends. That sounds great, doesn’t it? In America, students 7-12 should have to take part in school athletics at least once before they graduate. School athletics are great. They help you create more friendships, get good exercise, and helps you better academically. To start things out you are only exposed to your friends that are around you. Imagine only talking and having friends from school. You get into a fight with one of your friends. Playing in activities you may meet other classmates that you're not in a class with. For an example, some of my teammates from school basketball I wouldn't think I would talk to. Now, I talk almost anyone because basketball has brought us closer. Some students may think that they are too shy and not cool enough to create more friends. If you join you learn more about other people and you can something in common with other players. Creating more friendships is a great thing getting exercise is even better! …show more content…
Getting exercise strengthens your heart, it keeps your veins and arteries clear, strengthens lungs, reduces blood sugar level, controls weight, strengthens bones, helps prevents cancer, and regulates blood pressure. For an instance, if you have a problem keeping your weight at a consistent good healthy weight you could join school athletics. Students and athletes may not put the best effort they can give and it might not change the weight of them. If they don’t put in enough effort the sport may not be for them.
