Saturn’s Description: Saturn is known as the “Jewel of our solar system.” It is the second largest planet! (After Jupiter.) Saturn is 75 times larger than Earth, and more than 800 Earths could fit inside of it. Even though Saturn looks solid, Saturn is made of gas, and is known as a “gas giant.” The gas is mostly hydrogen and helium. Saturn is like a ghost. If you landed a rocket on Saturn, it would sink through 60,000 miles of swirling gasses, and you would eventually reach Saturn’s core! Saturn is by far the most beautiful when seen through a telescope. To beat Earth, Saturn has 11 moons! The largest moon is Titan, one of Jupiter’s moons babies.
