Abortion. This one topic has been fought over for a great amount of years. Whether your ideology is liberal and believe in pro- choice or conservative and believe in pro- life this conflict of interest will seem to never end. Both Conservatives and Liberals have a pretty fair argument for their choice. Liberals see abortion as a potential lifesaver rather than a life never to be lived. As a Pro-Choice enthusiast, I believe that women should have the right to abort or not to abort. According to DoSomething.org 3 in every 10 teens will become pregnant in the US. With this vast number, these teens have to decide whether it's worth to have a baby and risk their future of potential education decline. Most teens do not have a enough money to support themselves, let alone a baby. These babies should not have to be exposed to low standards of living and teen parents should have the right to not see their babies struggle to grow. And so forth, if you were to give

A statistic from Child Trends says, “Approximately 1 million teenagers in America become pregnant each year. Of those, 78% are unintended. Teens may choose to have an abortion because they have concerns about how having a baby would derail important personal goals; they worry about the financial responsibilities associated with parenthood; or they feel that they are not mature enough to become a parent” (Teen Abortions, 2014) Many couples or single women are put in situations which can cause unwanted pregnancy and are unable to take care of the child. Instead of putting themselves and the child in struggles, it is better if they can give the child to another family to be taken care of.…

These two factions on opposite sides are pro-choice and pro-life. Pro-choice supporters in essence believes a woman has the right to an abortion if she decides to do so. On the other hand, pro-life supporters believe the fetus is its own human being and has the right to live, thus an abortion cannot be performed on the woman. Judith Jarvis Thomson, a philosophy professor supports the right to an abortion in her paper, “A defense of Abortion” (186).…

One reason abortion is a social issue is because people don’t know whether it should be either illegalized or legalized everywhere. Tom Anderson says,” if abortions become illegalized then it will have a significant impact on women and would cause society to become like the third world. ”(Anderson,3) Which he describes as a place where the population suffers from poverty, malnutrition, treatable disease, poor health care, unemployment and lastly a place where women feel little empowerment concerning their reproductive lives. Abortion is a touchy issue. Many say it is okay, others are totally against it, and some think it’s acceptable, depending of the circumstances. In my opinion, it’s wrong and not at all necessary, unless in the case of pregnancy, the mother is informed she will perish during the pregnancy term. Science continues to say a fetus is only a small “lump of tissue” but it isn’t, it’s human, it is a life. We are taught, “You shall not murder,” yet there are about 100, 000 lives aborted yearly.…

There are few things in this world that will strike more fear into the heart of a woman—or a man, for that matter—than an unplanned pregnancy. Now the woman faces a choice: does she carry the fetus to term, or does she terminate the pregnancy? There are countless reasons for both options, such as the mother’s health, the health of the fetus, religious views, and how the mother was brought up. There are some instances in which a mother could feel that she could not rely on her family for support, such as cases of rape and incest. In this paper, I will take a categorical approach to show you how abortion can be ethical.…
