Waking up every morning and actually going downstairs feeling so dizzy that you could just fall to the ground. Going to school every day trying to get your work done, but you are so mentally, physically and emotionally drained that you know you will not get any work done. You sleep through most classes because the night before you could not fall asleep with all of the thinking going on in your head that just will not stop. Going home with your homework that you just throw on the floor because you do not know how to do it with the fact of not paying attention in class, but how can you when you are so drained that you do not even want to live anymore feeling like it would take all of the pain away? Going upstairs to your bedroom, hopping in bed, and passing out because that is the only thing that you do not do at night; and it takes the pain away for that short amount of time. Your mom asks you one day “Why do you not ever have your friends over anymore?” You think about it and answer with “I do not want them.” Depression messes with your head so much that you do not care who you have in your life anymore. It is not a priority to you like it was to actually keep those friends when you were “normal.” It is not having everyone by your side at all times like a person should. People think when you are depressed your friends just push you away, but in reality it is the depression in the person that does it. You go day by day with the depression getting worse until the day you just stop talking to them. You later on learn you have no one because depression has taken over your life; like how much you eat, how much you go outside, and actually get some sun once in a while, how much you just sit there and stare off into space, anything that has to do with you-depression takes over. Pushing everyone out of your life when you are depressed is the easiest thing to do. In the end having no one is a major
