It has helped me to be more informative and helped to form more educated opinions and discuss those interpretations with others. I think the benefit of satirical news is for the most part essential today. Many of these serious news foundations are controlled by pressures to distribute particular information tailored to a viewer’s interests without giving them insight about the other side. Due to these pressures, many news outlets portray politics intensely, and frequently will have the broadcaster mention to less exhilarating but important political news. What I personally like most about satire in politics is that it’s almost like a wakeup call in comedy. They point out things that we the viewers may have bypassed. Satires also do a great job at highlighting certain instances that take place with politics that we may have not
