I visualize Sarah Lawrence as a home where I can take charge of my own education, a place that allows me to mold a curriculum I desire by utilizing the unique learning opportunities offered at this one-of-a-kind university. Through the intimate settings of a small class with teachers specialized in the fields of Creative and Performing Arts, History, Humanities, etc., l anticipate imbibing all the knowledge I can within the four short years.

Rebecca Nathanson, my vocal student-teacher at the time, introduced me to the classical world: a culture of musical geniuses, with tremendously diverse backgrounds, who internalized the importance of hard work and sharing their passions with others. Watching these musicians create an inclusive environment by clearly expressing their devotion to pursuing art, learning and diversity became infectious-- intoxicating, and as a young freshman in high school, I knew I wanted to pursue a life that was centered around such
