The Los Angeles County Arboretum & Botanic Garden
With 127 acres of plants, animals, and historic buildings, The Los Angeles County Arboretum & Botanic Garden is a fun place to visit no matter your age. There are a few rules of etiquette for arboretum visitors, though. People should not remove or damage any plants, flowers, or other natural materials they see at the arboretum. Visitors may see an assortment of birds, including ducks, geese, herons, hawks, gulls, and peacocks, but they should observe birds and other animals from a distance and should not feed any of the wildlife.
Visitors will be able to see a variety of plants and landscaping, some of it coming from other countries, including Australia and Madagascar. While some plants and flowers will be familiar to most visitors, other flora will be less-familiar. No matter your age, with different plants blooming throughout the year, observing the many plant specimens will likely be a valuable learning
