INT. STAIRWAY - NIGHT
Yaffna stands with her arms folded across her chest at the bottom of the steps. Sandy pulls Morris’s wheelchair up the stairs. Sandy struggles, sweat drips down her face. Her face is beet red, and she looks exhausted. She is close to the top of the stairs, just two steps away.
She pulls with all her strength -- but her hands slip and she drops the wheelchair. Morris’s wheelchair goes flying down the stairs.
Yaffna sprints into action running up the stairs, skipping two steps at a time. She meets Morris midway, grabbing onto his wheelchair. She pulls him up the remaining steps. Sandy is shaken up, she can’t believe what she just did.
YAFFNA
Valk him down the steps.
SANDY
But I just dropped him.
YAFFNA
I don’t vant

He tremors, about to fall. But he grabs onto the bars, standing tall and smiling.

Later. Morris walks in the opposite direction of the walking bar all by himself. He stumbles when he gets to the middle section. Yaffna reaches out to help him, but he quickly regains his posture. He walks with his head held high.
INT. REHABILITATION CENTER BEDROOM - DAY
Morris eats a piece of toast. Eileen holds up a vocabulary card.
Vocabulary card reads: Autobiographical
Morris swallows the piece of toast.
EILEEN
This ones tough, and you didn’t have much time to practice so...
MORRIS
A-a-au-to-b-bio-g-gra-ph-i-cal.
Eileen is in utter shock. Her jaw is wide open.
EILEEN
I’m so proud of you and everything you accomplished, you came a long way! Give me a hug I’m going to miss you.
Eileen and Morris hug each other.
INT. PHYSICAL THERAPY ROOM - DAY
Yaffna stands with her hands across her chest. She closely evaluates Morris as he walks to the end of the walking bar. Yaffna nods her head in approval. Morris turns around looking at her. She remains emotionless, and stares at her watch.
YAFFNA
(in Russian)
Enough.
She pushes a walker towards Morris.

That’s great, congrats! And I found out one of your clients went to another insurance agent, but Doug reached out to him and explained your story.
She grabs a check off the kitchen counter.
Check reads: $10,000 from Abunai
SANDY (CONT’D)
He just closed on a new deal and he split the profits with us.
She puts the check back on the kitchen counter.
INT. REHABILITATION CENTER BEDROOM - NIGHT
MORRIS
G-great that’s g-good to h-h-hear. Bye s-see you soon.
Morris hangs up the phone and closes his eyes.
INT. MRI MACHINE - DAY
Morris lies on his back as he comes out of the MRI machine. The black and blue around his eye is gone.
INT. HALLWAY - NIGHT
Morris walks down the hallway without holding onto the railing. Later. He stands in his doorway looking into his room. The TV is off and John is sleeping. John wears Morris’s headphones, listening to motivational tapes.
INT. REHABILITATION CENTER BEDROOM - DAY
Morris eats his breakfast in bed. John and Morris watch the basketball game it’s Virginia Cavaliers verse the Los Angelos Lakers. Morris takes another bite from his food. But John slams his hands down onto the tray. His utensils go flying off the
