In first Samuel 17, David demonstrates that he has trust in his God. To start off, David was a shepherd who had no fighting skills. His dad sent him to go visit his brothers and there he saw a giant with the name of Goliath. Goliath was a giant who challenged the Israelite soldiers for 40 days. David saw, Goliath taunting the armies of God-Alive, so he challenged him when no one else did. He was a inexperienced fighter, so Saul begin to question him. In the end David won with a sling and some stones. A quote from the bible was “ That’s how David beat the Philistine—with a sling and a stone. He hit him and killed him. No sword for David!” (1 Samuel 17:50). David believed God had his back and he did. David trusted God because he has escaped
