Program services intern provides the student an opportunity to research about Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, and HIV co-infection. Hence, an intern has researched about these diseases and the relationship among them. Finally, the intern should create the PowerPoint that Liver Health Connection (LHC) can use to educate the providers, community, and the patients about these diseases.

Interestingly, it was the smoothest going of all the internship period I have had. During this period, I have also added more extra hours to engage myself in teamwork. So, I have gained a lot of knowledge and experience. Some of the opportunities I had learned by completing this part of the internship are networking, communication, both oral and written, teamwork, participation in discussion, research, time management, stress management and many others.
Throughout my internship period, I have collected pieces of evidence that shows active participation in seminars, meetings as well as events. Hence, some “pieces of evidence” of my work that I can include in my final portfolio are the followings.

2. To advance career: Because of an increment in responsibilities, it’s important to healthcare manger to be a knowledgeable and skillful in his/her career. Therefore, professional development provides an opportunity to advance a career.
3. To earn certification: As a healthcare industries are going to be highly competitive certification is an important credential for healthcare managers to move up the organizational ladder.
Understanding the importance of engagement in professional development, I am planning to develop a short-term and long-term goals. In my short-term career development plan, I will continue searching for part-time job in my professional. Once, I secure job, I will work on how to develop organizational learning opportunities as well as professional development.
