Initial Problem
Hunger has been an issue in the city of Saginaw for many years. As an effort to help diminish the numbers of hunger, low income, and poverty, local churches would organize can food, clothing, and basic needs drives. As a community, it is our responsibility to help our surrounding neighbors and community members. The pastor, Danny Howe, at First Baptist Church of Saginaw once said, “we must start locally to end hunger globally.” I believe this to be true because it is difficult to change the world if we cannot make a difference in the lives around us. By breaking up the bigger dilemma of world hunger into smaller conflicts, it becomes easier to achieve the goals created locally.
One of the ways Saginaw has worked towards ending hunger locally is by bring the efforts of the churches together. Starting in a small home in the city of Saginaw, the Community Link Missions began.
