Some key definitions
Now there are several definitions for each of these key words but I want to focus on a definition with a spiritual perspective
1. Sacrifice: Life given for others
2. Love: God’s nature
3. Call: A vocation and powerful force of attraction.
Scripture Focus: Ephesians 5:25-27
25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, 26that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word, 27that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish.

People tend to get married at a later stage than before or actually stay in open relationship without tying the knot. There are several reasons why marriages fall apart (infidelity, financial challenges, communication etc.) but the one constant is misunderstanding of what love is and the sacrifice it entails based on scriptural principles. Take heart brothers for it is refreshing as Christians to know that the Lord has made ample provision to help us navigate through the challenges of marriage. I am sure we will all give an assent to that statement and this mostly because it is a remote possibility but in reality it is much more difficult in our daily lives to make less but actual sacrifices for her. Brethren, when we put aside our own likes, desires, opinions, preferences, and welfare to please our wife and meet her needs, then we are truly dying our self to live for our wife. And that is what Christ's love demands even if it means suffering. Sacrifice comes with suffering that’s an absolute certainty but our rewards are far greater and eternal! This is God promise.

Our Lord loved the church so much that He was willing to suffer and die for it. His actions therefore not only saved the church but they also sanctified it. Jesus wanted to develop the church into what it should be, the holy temple of God. Ephesians 5:26 tells us that we are cleansed "with the washing of water by the word." There are things that will be cleansed—things in our minds, things that deal with our conduct, things that have to do with our character and our attitude—that are cleansed by water. The word "water" here is symbolic, referring to the Word of God, as well as to the Holy Spirit.
