I know this because of the evidence. One piece of evidence is that the eagle eats in its nest. This means that it would have taken the chickens into the nest to eat, therefore there would be no piles of feathers. The second piece of evidence it that the feathers and sounds don’t match up with the ones found at the scene. The last piece of evidence is that they simply don’t eat chickens, they usually eat fish.

The Great Horned Owl is not the culprit. I know this because of the evidence found at the scene and other evidence. One piece of evidence is that they eat smaller animals. The second piece of evidence is the sounds, tracks, and feathers don’t match up with the ones found at the scene of the crime. The last piece of evidence is that they are nocturnal. This shows that they couldn’t have eaten the chickens since the chickens are in their coop at night.

The Osprey is not the culprit. I know this because the tracks, feathers, and sounds don’t match up. Another piece of evidence is that they eat fish. The last piece of evidence is that they migrate. This shows that they couldn’t have eaten the birds since they were taken in the

At the aviary, I learned that barred owls are best known for a call that sounds like, "Who cooks for you……

However, studies of a multitude of different species has shown that this is simply not true. Both Hauser and Page cite a variety of studies that disprove what Don Griffin has called the "groans of pain" theory. Page discusses evidence for a specific vocabulary of vocalizations in animals such as the chicken, squirrel, meerkat, and prairie dog. Cockerels have different alarm calls for ground and aerial predators. It is unlikely that a predator would elicit a different emotional state in the chicken depending on whether it was on the ground or in the…
