SWOT analysis is a vital strategy applied to realize strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of either an organization or individual. Furthermore, uniquely design logo drawn by an artist who owns the company is one of the key strengths of this company. PDC main website is www.northwesttildealth.com, which is a way of representing and being proud of where they are from. By visiting PDC websites and other social media related to its brands, I can see that the usage of social marketing is great to promote the products. Also, being able to follow the current trend to reach customers are great marketing strategy and ability to get information about what customers are looking for. For example, PDC has its own website, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and Blog. For a local artist personally drawing each design on all the products make each item attain personal connection with the artist and the customer, that large company or retailer cannot give.
Weaknesses of the company: Just as there are strengths in Paper Diamonds Clothing (PDC) company, there are some weaknesses as well. PDC offers very limited products to choose from and focuses on a specific consumer group. T-shirts are designed for male consumers and not much for female style. The interview was conducted on Thursday, January 18, 2018, around 6:00 pm. Curtis Ashby and his girlfriend who is a strong support in his business came to the interview. He gave an overview of his business, Paper Diamonds Clothing (PDC). Cutis said that PDC was started in 2008 when someone suggested about his art would be great to put on t-shirts, not just on the wall. He got an idea from that individual and started creating logo and design with a small batch of shirts at a time. He had to start very small since he does not want to take a loan, and he was able to finance on his own. He mentioned that his girlfriend and friends are the main supporters of his business, he couldn’t pay money for their help, but he gave them the products he created personally. He said that’s how people him, by seeing his friends wear t-shirts he designed. “Getting other people involved is a big thing for me because when I started my clothing brand it was for putting art on shirts, so my friends could wear it and take pride in wearing art that their friend made” (C. Ashby, personal communication, January 18, 2018).
Some retailers asked about other products when they see people like t-shirt he designs. So, he started to make a coffee mug, patch, belt buckle, and some other small accessories. He targets specific people when he creates designs, such as skaters, people with tattoos, and
