My intended STEM major that I choose to study in college is biology. I choose to major in biology because I found it fun and interesting and also because it is something that I needed to have a good understanding of if I plan to have a career in the medical field. I wanted to major in biology because I enjoyed biology in my sophomore year and it was one of the few classes that I was excited about. Although it's going to be harder and more complex in college,it will interesting and a new experience to have a challenge in something that I enjoy learning. I also hope to use my knowledge in biology to help me with my career to as work to become a doctor. I intend to get a career with science being a huge focus in that career and also a career that isn't predictable and simple, I want a career that I can enjoy doing and know that my hard work is what led me to have the future career that I wanted in the medical field, specializing in urgent care. My future career plans relate to this major because to get into any medical school or to become a doctor a person must understand the biology of the human body and the ways to treat it. My career plans related to my biology major are to use this major and other science and math classes to be able to do well on my MCAT and get into medical school. While in medical school I hope to be able to learn even more about biology and chemistry and be able to apply it to my career. After medical school I want to be able to attend an emergency care residency which will help get me ready and get comfortable with a career in urgent care. Biology is an important aspect for my plans because i'm going to be taking care of people and I need to be able to understand the human body on most deepest level as I can. As time goes by I want to become a better urgent care doctor and I hope to be able to do well enough that I could use my knowledge with urgent care and be able take and teach it to others who can't have access
