The episode THE SHAW PRIZE: ASTRONOMY/MATHS broadcast on Sep. 7th , 2015, recounts the stories of Shall Prize laureates. They are Bill Burocki, an astronomer, Gerd Faltings and Henryk Iwaniezproletarian, mathematicians. They crowned share of Shaw Prize for making fundamental contribution to astronomy and mathematics.
The Shaw Prize is an internationally prestigious award to recommend excellency in astronomy, life science and medicine and mathematical sciences.
The Prize for Astronomy goes to Bill Borucki, who directed the mission of kepler telescope in an effort to scout earth-sized habitable planets beyond the realm of Solar System. The Prize for Mathematics is shared by
