Hobbits are creatures that are half the size of humans with similar characteristics of dwarves and do not like to leave the comfort of their home. They live in a pleasing underground holes with all the amenities of life. The Baggins family are part hobbits and part took. Tooks love to go on adventures and leave there houses. One day, a wizard named Gandalf visits him and ask Bilbo Baggins to go on an adventure. He politely declines as any hobbit would and invites him to tea. He leaves a sign on the door saying that he would be attending. The next morning 13 dwarves enter his home as followed by Gandalf. They discuss a plan to get justice for thorin’s grandfather, thror, who had wrongfully been robbed of his findings in a mountain that he had discovered. He found gems and gold in the mountains and was guarded by him. A dragon named Smaug had robbed it a killed his grandfather and is currently guarding the mountains. Gandalf then volunteered confused Bilbo Baggins as the burglar for their expedition. The took inside of him …show more content…
Elrond uses his ability of being able to interpret runes to interpret the runes in the map and they use that to go onwards. They then start to climb misty mountains and a thunderstorm comes in. Fili and Kili (two dwarves) are sent to look for good shelter with no habitants. Then they get to the cave that the fili and kili suggested. They begin to sleep. In the middle of the night, they hear a crack and the goblins raid them. They try to eat the dwarves but Gandalf reappears and turns the fire off. Then they are led by Gandalf’s voice out of the cave.
After, he falls unconsciousness on his way out of the cave, he meets a creature named Gollum who also wants to eat him. He points a sword to get him off and then they make a deal on riddles. If Bilbo can do these riddle he can leave, if he cannot then he gets
