Rudeness is on the high rise in the nation, everywhere I’ve looked I see rudeness on a daily and it’s really sad to see in a nation that should be so grateful for all the opportunities we have. People no longer smile in public towards one another, no longer thank each other, hold the doors for each other, and when in crowds don’t try to avoid bumping into each other. Others are no longer acknowledging people period. Rudeness is taking over our nation because people live by treat other how they treat another, not treat others how they wish to be treated. When walking in public people are to busy on their phones, either talking on them or pretending to do something important on them, because they don’t want to look at other people. Being in public there are millions of people walking around and yet I could feel so alone because so many people choose to not acknowledge me or anyone else that walks by them. I feel as though people don’t want to acknowledge someone else because then a conversation might strike up and they would be forced to talk to a stranger, or because then they might feel they would have to acknowledge everyone who walks by them. So when a person is going the opposite way of a crowd they are shoved and pushed because the crowd stays strong and when a crowd is coming towards an individual they seem like a brick wall moving in the same direction. No longer excuses himself or herself for bumping into another person, because they don’t feel their wrong.
