Romeo’s personality is very abrupt which changes the course of the story. What he wants changes all the time, and this is evident throughout the play. In act one, scene one Romeo is in love with Rosaline, but she was not in love with him. He expresses his feelings about her by saying, “She is too fair, too wise, wisely too fair,” (1.1.216). In act one scene one Romeo is talking to Benvolio about how he can not get over Rosaline and go on with life. He says, “Doth add more grief to too much of mine own.” (1.1.183). If he was not so immature he would understand that there are other girls better than Rosaline, and that not every girl is going to like him. So, if he can get over her he would not need to go to the Capulet’s feast and never meet Juliet. Which explains his immature actions change the course of what is going to happen during the play. In act three scene one when he gets in a fight with Tybalt, he knows that he will be punished for fighting but since he is actions are immature he still fights with him. Which leads him to saying, “O, I am fortune’s fool!” (3.1.132). He says this because he realizes that through his immature actions, he banish himself from Verona and can not be with Juliet. If Romeo was not so immature, he would have realized that there are consequences that go with his actions. If he does this he would have been able to be with Juliet and he would not be
