Juliet's actions do make her courageous because of all of the horrible possibilities that could have happened to her while she was pretending to be dead. According to the text Juliet says "...chain me with roaring bears, or shut me nightly in a charnel house." (Act 4 Scene 1 lines 80-81) This shows that Juliet was courageous because she was okay with being in a room with dead bodies or be chained with bears so that she wouldn't marry Paris. Juliet being in a room with dead bodies, maybe some even relatives, shows how courageous she is. "What with loathsome smells, and shrieks like mandrakes torn out of earth, that living mortals, hearing them, run mad."
