After I read this CNN news report, I had mixed feelings about it. I was quite amazed, shocked, and interested by the information that I read. At first, it did not sink into me because I realized that racism to this extent is still going on in this world today! To me, it felt that these students were not given their basic needs as human beings even after slavery was abolished, and after African Americans were given their rights. How can these rights be looked at wrongly? The color of your skin does not define who you are, but what you say and do, defines the type of person you are.
