There are two different perspectives of causes to a successful relationship. The first is communication, trust, support, and honesty; the second perspective is an entitlement, showering of gifts, no fighting, and finding quick solutions to major problems. Although, both perspectives show very understandable reasoning individually, each cause evens the other out.
Lauren states that having a sense of entitlement, being showered in gifts, having zero fights, and finding quick solutions to major problems all contribute to a successful relationship. In trying to understand why the Blayke thinks that finding a quick solution to a major problem may be healthy and be another cause to successful relationships, Lauren slowly came to a common ground. Yes, working through issues quickly can be a good thing because Blayke and his girlfriend wouldn’t spend much time on a problem; therefore, Blayke and his girlfriend don’t fight as much as they would have if they had spent all day on a particular issue. Lauren does not believe that this particular cause is one hundred percent accurate, but it can help figure out what is and isn’t worth fighting about.
Lauren’s set of causes to a successful relationship are everything included in the first perspective at the beginning: communication, trust, support, and honesty. The first perspective focuses on relationships more by the book rather than going with the flow and letting things happen the way they are supposed to. Blayke’s perspectives help remind Lauren that it’s okay to not talk about issues or feelings every time something happens. Blayke also reminds Lauren that treating her partner to a gift every once in a while to remind them that they are appreciated isn’t exactly a bad thing. Blayke’s causes help Lauren understand that there isn’t always an answer to every problem. The causes Lauren listed help Blayke understand the key roles in a relationship and that communication is always important between him and his girlfriend. The causes Blayke stated, to help a relationship succeed, lack stable ground and Lauren’s causes have exactly that.
