In 2003, he founded the Roger Federer Foundation, a program which assists kids in Africa to be able to go to school and permits them access to a high quality education. The foundation priority is the assistance of insufficient support services to vulnerable children who live in poor or rural conditions. It does not mean that they deliver equipment, but they empower them to have control of their life by education. The program currently has around 309,000 children and it is in 7 different countries, Botswana, Malawi, Namibia, South Africa, Zambia, Zimbabwe, and Switzerland.
